The organization operates in Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

Role Overview

The Senior Safeguarding Officer is responsible for upholding CAMFED's zero-tolerance stance on sexual exploitation, abuse, discrimination, and harassment. This role ensures the organization promotes safe environments and upholds the rights and safety of marginalized girls and young women. The Senior Safeguarding Officer provides technical and strategic guidance on safeguarding policies and serves as the primary contact for staff regarding safeguarding concerns.

Principal Accountability

The Senior Safeguarding Officer is accountable for developing, maintaining, and implementing comprehensive safeguarding frameworks that protect all beneficiaries and staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, update, and implement safeguarding policies
• Provide technical and strategic guidance on safeguarding matters
• Serve as the primary point of contact for staff safeguarding concerns
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safeguarding standards
• Support the organization in maintaining safe environments
