Senior Manager, Ethics at MTN Ghana

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Ethics is responsible for the technical leadership of company-wide ethical standards, policies, regulations, culture and governance. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership to define and implement the company-wide ethics strategy while ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements and legal benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop corporate ethics statements, policies and supporting forms/acknowledgements
• Provide technical reviews of corporate policies to ensure consistency and integration with the company's ethics philosophies
• Provide technical input for the development and implementation of corporate ethics and conflict-of-interest training programmes
• Provide technical expertise towards fact-finding engagements related to complaints and allegations of ethical wrongdoing or conflicts of interest
• Develop and maintain confidential procedures for the handling and processing of complaints and allegations, including processes for confidential hearing of employee issues related to ethics or conflicts
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of corporate governance requirements, compliance and reporting responsibilities, and related legal benchmarks
• Provide technical input to Senior Leadership and assist with reporting to the Social and Ethics Management Committee of the Board
• Provide support to internal stakeholders in the areas of fair treatment and effective internal justice systems
• Ensure effective implementation of the group-wide ethics strategy by providing direction, structure, business plans and support
• Set and maintain ethical measurement metrics to track ethics progress across MTN Ghana in line with best practice
• Drive automation of ethical practices and reporting mechanisms, analysing and interpreting ethics trends
