Senior Financial Accounting Manager at African Cashew Alliance (ACA)

About the Role

The Senior Financial Accounting Manager will establish a robust financial and administrative framework for the African Cashew Alliance (ACA). This role is responsible for leading the finance function while ensuring strong internal controls, transparency, and compliance with donor and international standards.

Purpose of the Position

This role ensures:

• Strong internal controls and transparency
• Compliance with donor and international standards
• Timely, accurate financial reporting

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ACA's finance function and maintain sound financial systems
• Develop strategies for fundraising and financial sustainability
• Manage donor compliance and reporting
• Build relationships with financial institutions and donors
• Develop financial policies, manuals, and capacity-building programs
• Ensure adherence to internal, donor, and international standards

Required Qualifications and Experience

• ACCA Level 3 or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 7 years senior-level financial management experience (NGO or private sector)
• Proven fundraising and donor engagement record
• Expertise in grant management, financial reporting, and compliance
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with GIZ-funded projects (advantageous)
