Reporter, Graphic Showbiz at Graphic Communications Group Ltd

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Reporter in the Graphic Showbiz section of Graphic Communications Group Ltd, based in Accra, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, write, and prepare a variety of stories for inclusion in newspapers, covering both specialized and general areas
• Identify and develop stories to follow independently or as assigned by the Editor, with both general and specialized focus
• Conduct interviews and write researched articles for online platforms (Graphic Online & NewsPlus)
• Assist in editing, fact-checking, and planning news pages and stories for online portals
• Collaborate with team members on special stories and investigations as required

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Journalism Studies, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years' work experience, preferably in online journalism, OR
• Diploma in Journalism from a reputable institution with a minimum of four (4) years' work experience, preferably in the arts and entertainment industry

• Current membership with Ghana Journalists Association

• Keen interest in arts and entertainment
• Strong report writing abilities
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and for extended periods
• Flexible attitude toward working arrangements
• Strong computer literacy skills, including page planning software
• Research methodology skills (desirable but not essential)
