Job Summary
The successful candidate will join the Sales and Distribution Department as a Regional Sales Manager, reporting to the Commercial Head. You will drive regional growth in your assigned region through customer acquisition, distribution, and availability of AirtelTigo products. In this role, you will ensure maximum channel visibility, build an effective team, and manage sales channels and partners.
Key Responsibilities
The Northern Region comprises 5 territories. As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all commercial growth activities in your assigned region, including:
- Acquisition of GSM customers
- Acquisition of MFS (Mobile Financial Services) customers
- Ensuring widespread availability of GSM products including SIM cards, vouchers, and E-PIN
- Developing and managing an efficient sales infrastructure to increase active POS (Point of Sale), POA (Point of Availability), and FL locations
- Liaising with trade marketing representatives to ensure trade marketing visibility across all channel touchpoints, including activation campaigns for visibility and growth
- Managing a team of territory indirect and direct sales supervisors
Leadership Expectations
As a regional leader, you will also be expected to:
- Develop and mentor your team(s), leading by example
- Provide competitor feedback and local market insights to the Commercial Head
- Provide instant feedback on challenges, risks, and growth opportunities
- Work with the Commercial Head on the development of strategy, direction, and growth for your region
- Maintain excellent relationships with the distributor's workforce within the region
- Direct and develop the distributor's workforce toward the AirtelTigo model to achieve company-wide acquisition and revenue targets in your assigned region
