Position Overview

University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Rector, Institute of Film and Television (IFT).

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Vice-Chancellor, UniMAC

Job Summary

The Rector shall be the administrative and academic head of the Institute of Film and Television, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for providing leadership and maintaining the efficiency and good order of the institute in accordance with university policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Exercise general administrative supervision over staff in the institute
• Coordinate and implement programmes for the institute
• Advise the institute board and university council through the Vice-Chancellor on all issues relating to the management of the institute
• Oversee the preparation of annual estimates of income and expenditure
• Manage the budget and resources of the institute
• Ensure implementation of decisions of the University Council
• Organize and conduct the academic, financial, and administrative business of the institute in accordance with statutes and decisions of the university council, Executive Management Board, and Academic Board
• Advise the University Council and University Management Board on matters affecting policy, finance, and governance
