Position Overview

The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified employees for appointment as Project Manager within the Physical Development, Planning and Transport Division of the Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD).

About the Role

The Project Manager will oversee, coordinate, and implement capital development projects on-campus and off-campus, ensuring compliance with planning regulations, sustainability practices, and institutional objectives. This role requires expertise in project management, construction supervision, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.

Reports to: Director, Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the built environment or a related field
• Master's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Professional certification in Project Management (PMI-PMP, PRINCE2, IPMP-GH, IET-GH, GHIE, or Six Sigma)

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in project management and construction supervision
• At least 5 years of experience in a project team within a university or similar institution

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated experience managing budgets
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience
