About ACRAD:
ACRAD is a dedicated non-governmental organization in Ghana that focuses on building community resilience and advocating for sustainable development. Our projects cover Child Protection and Advocacy, Financial Inclusion, Livelihood Empowerment, Climate Change and Environmental Actions.
Project Overview:
The “My Rights, My Future” project, funded by the European Commission (EC), aims to combat child labour in the Volta and Oti regions of Ghana. This project seeks to strengthen the capacity of local institutions and communities to protect children’s rights, provide educational opportunities, and reduce the socio-economic factors driving child labour. The project is rooted in a rights-based approach, ensuring the welfare and protection of children in line with
international standards.
Role Summary:
We are searching for a motivated individual to facilitate the implementation of project activities.
These roles involve direct engagement with children, families, and various community stakeholders to promote children’s rights and reduce child labour practices effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Implementation and Coordination:
- Facilitate the day-to-day implementation of project activities in the assigned region.
- Develop detailed work plans and schedules in collaboration with the Project Management Team (PMT) and other team members.
- Collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and training sessions aimed at preventing child labour and promoting children’s rights.
- Ensure that project activities are aligned with the project’s objectives and expected outcomes.
- Engage with community members to raise awareness about the dangers of child labour and the importance of education.
- Facilitate capacity-building sessions for local institutions, parents, and other community stakeholders to enhance their ability to protect children’s rights.
- Mobilize community resources and foster local ownership of project initiatives.
