Project Engineer at Bunge

About the Role

Bunge in Western Africa is a global leader in agrocommodities and the Shea sector. We are seeking a Project Engineer to initiate, plan, coordinate, execute, control, and ensure timely commissioning and closure of projects at our plant in a safe and cost-efficient manner.

This is a crucial position for our Western Africa business. You will lead new plant installations (both in-house and external) and manage all aspects of project requirements from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new plant installation projects from initiation to closure
• Prepare yearly CAPEX requirements and initiate applicable approvals
• Develop project scope, FEED documentation, and definite design specifications
• Coordinate project design with design institutes and project teams
• Manage project budgeting activities
• Monitor and supervise all project construction activities and status reports
• Prepare project governance reports and tender documents for pre-bid selection
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Resolve project-related problems effectively
• Follow up on contracts and vendor payments according to signed agreements
• Ensure all site work safety rules and regulations are strictly observed
• Raise concerns and constraints to stakeholders in a timely manner
