The company offers crop protection, mobile plant health clinics, app-based and in-person extension services, and supports farmer-based organizations (FBOs) with training in climate-smart agriculture, postharvest management, biochar and composting production.

HAT is implementing a project aimed at transforming agricultural waste into valuable products across Ghana's Western, Greater Accra, and Northern Regions. Waste materials such as coconut shells, rice husks, groundnut shells, and cocoa pods are converted into biochar, wood vinegar, and biochar-based fertilizers.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our factory site in Asutuare. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production of biochar, various biochar fertilizer blends, and wood vinegar while ensuring environmental sustainability and leading a dedicated team of factory staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the carbonization furnace on the main factory floor
• Oversee mini biochar machines set up in the locality to create jobs for communities
• Oversee demonstration farms in the communities
• Ensure all environmental, health, and safety standards are adhered to
• Produce high-quality biochar, various biochar fertilizer blends, and wood vinegar
• Manage a team of factory hands at the main factory
• Implement efficient production processes and maintain high standards of quality control
• Monitor and report on production metrics, including yield and quality
