About Our Africa Operations

Newmont's Africa Operations manages two gold mining operations in Ghana:

• Ahafo Mine (located in the Brong-Ahafo region)
• Akyem Mine (located in the Eastern region)

The Africa operations also conduct near-mine exploration and development activities in Ghana to annually replace gold reserves, along with early-stage exploration programs in Ethiopia and Morocco. Our Africa operations employ approximately 5,900 employees and contractors.

Community Development

Our Akyem and Ahafo mines have made significant sustainable community development investments in host communities. Development Funds have been established at both operational areas, with each mine contributing US$1 per ounce of gold sold and 1% of net pre-tax annual profit into its community development fund.

About This Role

As a Process Mechanical Technician, you will conduct safe troubleshooting, replacement, repair, testing, and general maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems according to mechanical standards and procedures.
