About the Position

Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education invites applications from interested and qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Principal. A search committee has been instituted by the College Governing Council to conduct this recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Administrative and Academic Head and Chief Executive Officer of the college
• Report to and be accountable to the college council
• Organize and conduct the financial and administrative business of the college in accordance with college statutes, Academic Board decisions, and national laws and regulations
• Promote quality teacher education, training, and research within the college
• Manage the college of education effectively
• Foster and promote strong internal and external relations

Required Qualifications

• Advanced research Master's Degree (specialization is an added advantage)
• Professional teacher with a minimum of a Diploma in Education or related field
• Current rank of at least Principal Tutor in a College of Education structure, or not below Senior Lecturer in a recognized tertiary institution
• Distinguished master teacher and scholar in teaching and learning
• Good character and high degree of personal integrity
• Good understanding of the challenges facing colleges of education and tertiary education in Ghana
• Ability to complete at least one full term of 4 years before reaching compulsory retirement age
