About the Position

A newly built hospital in the GA South District is seeking to recruit Physician Assistants for full-time positions.

Job Summary

Successful applicants must be prepared to work on a shift system (either two or three shifts) and understand that proper handover to the relieving staff is mandatory at the end of each shift. All medical officers and resident doctors report to the Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient care across emergency and clinical settings
• Work assigned shift rotations with full accountability for handovers
• Handle emergencies competently in the four main medical disciplines
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with the healthcare team following established referral and gatekeeper systems

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of housemanship in the four main medical disciplines
• Demonstrated competency in emergency management
• Computer literacy
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Excellent patient care and clinical documentation abilities

Required Skills & Attributes

• Understanding of healthcare gatekeeper and referral systems
• Empathy and emotional intelligence
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills

Location

Tuba and Kasoa, Ghana. Applicants living in or around Tuba, Kasoa, and surrounding areas may have an advantage.
