Officer, Finance Operations at KPMG Ghana

Role Summary

The Officer, Finance Operations will provide comprehensive financial management services to ensure the organization achieves its financial targets and delivers flawless Finance operations. This includes accounting, budgeting, internal and statutory reporting, tax elements, and cost management.

The role holder will implement and drive strong financial and control discipline to ensure the organization is well-managed and its funding complies with relevant regulations. They will coordinate the planning cycle, working closely to ensure adequate financial information is provided to the Ministry of Finance, Parliament, and relevant funding agencies while maintaining strict compliance with the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) for capital expenditure and working capital support.

Key Accountabilities

Management Information & Reporting

• Maintain financial records of the organization in accordance with fiscal, accounting, and best standard practices
• Prepare and manage periodic financial reporting, forecasting, and variance explanations
• Anticipate potential sources of impact on business targets and proactively define and implement response and action plans in coordination with the Director of Finance and other organizational Directors

Financial Control, Management, and Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all financial, regulatory, and accounting requirements including reporting obligations
• Review all balances and ensure adequate reconciliations are completed and documented
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls in liaison with Management and the Internal Audit unit
• Supervise and ensure the generation of annual budgets
