About the Position

A newly built hospital in the GA South District is seeking to recruit Medical Officers to join our healthcare team.

Job Summary

• Run a shift system (either two or three shifts)
• Ensure proper handover of shifts to relief staff
• Report to the Medical Director

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care across the four main clinical disciplines
• Support the hospital's gatekeeper and referral systems
• Deliver patient-centered care with excellent communication and documentation

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Permanent registration in good standing with the Medical and Dental Council
• Completion of housemanship in the four main clinical disciplines
• Demonstrated proficiency in handling emergencies across these disciplines
• Computer literacy

Required Skills & Attributes

• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Strong client record-keeping and documentation abilities
• Understanding of healthcare delivery systems and referral protocols
• Empathy and emotional intelligence

Location

Tuba and Kasoa areas. Applicants from or living in these areas and their environs may have an advantage.
