Manager, Project Appraisal Development at KPMG Ghana

Role Summary

The role holder will provide necessary guidance, technical support, and quality assurance to internal actors and investors for the development of high-quality projects. This position is responsible for managing the organisation's project appraisals and development pipeline, conducting initial assessments to ensure applications are complete, and verifying that all required documentation is provided.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the review and appraisal of projects at concept, pre-feasibility, and full feasibility study stages for new projects
• Assist investors with project development processes and ensure required information and documentation are prepared according to established guidelines
• Support delivery of business strategies through projects by engaging with strategy and portfolio management teams
• Coordinate with relevant departments to evaluate investment proposals prior to licensing and obtain any additional requirements before project appraisal
• Respond to investor and management enquiries regarding project appraisals and advise potential investors on organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines for licensing
• Prepare initial approval recommendations for potential investments
• Generate practice notes on emerging issues in project appraisals and development to inform policy and strategy development
• Provide reports and analysis on pending development applications from investors, highlighting emerging issues for management attention
• Liaise with relevant agencies and internal departments on investor applications, including site inspections, due diligence, and research support
