Ghana Investment Fund For Electronic Communications (GIFEC) is an Agency of the Ministry of Communications and Digitalization, mandated to promote Universal Access to Electronic Communications in Unserved and underserved communities of the country.

Position Overview

GIFEC is seeking an experienced, proactive, hardworking, skilled and self-motivated professional for the position of Manager, Internal Audit (Information Systems).

Purpose of Position

To provide operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the internal audit functions of the fund.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage information systems audit engagements including planning, development of audit testing, and evaluation programs with quality assurance
• Conduct continuous risk assessment of the information technology environment
• Assess risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance
• Monitor information security and conduct post-implementation reviews of new deployments
• Collate data for the preparation of annual audit plans
• Comply with internal audit, financial administration regulations, procedures and standards
• Participate in the conduct of special, periodic and annual audits
• Provide inputs for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports
• Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant discipline
• Professional certification: CISA, CISM or CISSP
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in information system auditing, finance and audit-related positions
• Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Fund in collaboration with the Public Services Commission
