Koforidua Technical University was established by an Act of Parliament, Act 922 (2016) and amended by Act 974 (2018). The University is committed to providing standard science and technology education, serving as a center of excellence in applied research, and offering solutions to community challenges.

Position Overview

The Librarian is the head of the University Library and reports to the Vice-Chancellor. The position is responsible for the provision of adequate and current information resources to support teaching, learning and research activities of the University. All functions are as prescribed by the Statutes of the University.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the University Library Department
• Provide adequate and current information resources to support teaching, learning and research
• Ensure effective library operations and services across the institution

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Postgraduate research degree (MPhil) in Library or Information Science related studies (PhD in Library or Information Science is an advantage)
• Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in library or information science
