About the Position

The Department of Plant and Environmental Biology under the School of Biological Sciences, University of Ghana invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time position as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Phycology.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach phycology and other basic plant science courses
• Conduct state-of-the-art research in algae and related disciplines
• Promote the development of the Plant Tissue Culture programme
• Pursue grants and research funding opportunities
• Work collaboratively within a team environment

Required Qualifications

• BSc. in Plant Science or related disciplines (preferably Aquatic Biology or Botany)
• PhD in Plant Biology with expertise in algae (Phycology)
• Demonstrated capacity to work in teams
• Not exceed 45 years of age
