Position Overview

JSI/WE is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) to lead the anticipated USAID Ghana Youth Activity. This program aims to improve the socioeconomic status of youth in northern Ghana through youth-led and youth-serving organizations. The program will focus on generating cross-sectoral engagement and positive youth development outcomes, enabling youth to make better life decisions and influence policy. Special attention will be given to the needs of girls, youth with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.

The Chief of Party will provide comprehensive leadership, management, and technical assistance for youth employment and empowerment program design, delivery, and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall project leadership, planning, implementation, monitoring, and management to achieve project objectives and expected outcomes
• Establish and communicate the project's vision, strategic direction, and management approach
• Provide technical direction aligned with project objectives and technical standards to achieve maximum coverage and impact
• Lead and facilitate effective partnerships with local youth education and employment institutions, public and private sector partners, civil society, and other youth empowerment stakeholders
• Supervise personnel and oversee quality technical control in target regions
• Provide overall leadership and supervision of JSI/WE's in-country staff and consortium partners
• Steward JSI/WE resources and conduct program-wide performance management
• Serve as principal contact and principal representative of JSI/WE to USAID and the Government of Ghana
• Maintain current knowledge of developments in USAID and Government development strategies
