Position Overview
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The Sales Manager will be responsible for recruiting, setting goals, coaching, and monitoring top sales performance while managing the day-to-day operations of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, set goals, coach, and monitor top sales performance
- Manage the day-to-day operations of sales team members
- Ensure sales team members are fully resourced and equipped with required sales documentation, including marketing materials, proposals, and contract templates
- Motivate, guide, and educate the sales team on best practices, providing the support and confidence needed to sell effectively
- Lead by example in achieving personal and team targets month on month
- Ensure compliance with company minimum standards for the Sales function
- Enforce sales team adoption and use of Salesforce CRM tool for sales process management
- Build team spirit and create harmony within the sales team for optimum performance
- Maintain people and non-people costs of the sales and business development functions within budget
Required Qualifications
- BA/BSc/MS degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of previous experience in a sales role within the security industry, preferably Electronic Security Systems (ESS) sales
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Proven ability to close "big ticket" sales
- Strong business sense and knowledge of the security industry
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
