Position Details

• Job Title: Human Resource/Safeguarding Officer
• Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
• Location: Accra, Ghana, West Africa
• Reports to: Programmes Manager
• Department: Programmes and Administration Unit

Key Responsibilities

• Manage various aspects of employee welfare and safety
• Oversee recruitment and on-boarding processes
• Coordinate training and development programs
• Manage employee lifecycles and benefits
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations
• Handle employee grievances and disputes
• Promote a safe and respectful work environment
• Implement safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable individuals from harm or abuse
• Work with FAWE Ghana partners and networks on safeguarding matters
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and young people

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Familiarity with human resource and safeguarding roles within NGOs
• Passionate and proactive approach to work
• Strong alignment with FAWE Ghana values
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams, external stakeholders, and young people
• Willingness to work flexibly beyond usual role requirements
