Job Summary
As a Human Resources Officer in the retail industry, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the employee experience. You will be responsible for various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Your goal is to support the retail team in achieving operational excellence through effective HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees
- Conduct background checks and reference verification
Employee Onboarding and Training
- Develop and implement onboarding programs for new hires to ensure a smooth transition
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans
Performance Management
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems
- Provide support in setting performance goals and conducting evaluations
- Monitor and report on employee performance trends
Employee Development
- Identify training needs within the workforce and coordinate relevant training programs
- Support the professional development of employees through mentorship and training opportunities
- Collaborate with external training providers to ensure employees receive up-to-date industry-specific training
