Position Overview

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Accra, Ghana

Category: Security Management

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop procedures to ensure physical safety of employees, students, and visitors
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
• Ensure security measures are maintained and regularly updated
• Create and manage workplace violence awareness and prevention programs
• Liaise and maintain relationships with appropriate institute offices, the Police, and other security agencies on security matters
• Develop emergency procedures and incident response protocols
• Investigate security breaches
• Conduct audits to identify weaknesses in security operations
• Develop risk management assessments
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Master's Degree in Peace and Security or relevant equivalent qualification
• Minimum rank of Assistant Registrar with at least 4 years of service in that rank, OR
• Rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police or equivalent rank in the Ghana Armed Forces or other analogous Security organization
• Demonstrated duty consciousness and capacity to manage crisis situations
• Mature, sober demeanor with drive for sound and impartial judgment
• Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities
