Head of Programmes, Campaigns, and Innovations at ActionAid Ghana

About the Role

ActionAid Ghana (AAG), an Affiliate of ActionAid, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to lead our programmes, campaigns, and innovations initiatives. This position is critical to our mission of ending poverty and injustice through high-quality programming, strategic research, and policy advocacy.

Role Overview

The Head of Programmes, Campaigns, and Innovations will provide strategic leadership and technical support for the implementation of the Country Strategy Paper (CSP) at the programme level. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality programming, innovations, research, and policy advocacy while maintaining robust monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management systems rooted in AAG's mission priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Formulation

• Lead AAG's strategy development, strategic planning, and management processes
• Coordinate Regional Programmes to ensure programme quality and desired impact
• Support regional programmes in developing and regularly reviewing strategic plans aligned to the Country Strategy Paper (CSP)
• Participate in communicating and monitoring AAG's vision, values, goals, and strategic objectives

Governance Responsibilities

• Advise and support the Country Director in managing governance structures and processes to enhance organizational effectiveness
• Serve as secretary to the Programmes Committee of the Board
• Attend Board and General Assembly Meetings, present reports, and provide technical support to the Board and Assembly in areas of expertise

Operational Management

• Oversee programme development to ensure activities meet organizational standards and strategic objectives
