Head of Credit at Sefwiman Rural Bank

About the Role

Sefwiman Rural Bank PLC, located in the Western North Region of Ghana, is seeking an experienced Head of Credit to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit proposals and make appropriate recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board based on the bank's credit policies and relevant laws
• Monitor all credit facilities and report on early warning signals to the Chief Executive Officer
• Prepare and submit all monthly and quarterly regulatory and prudential returns to relevant authorities
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Master's Degree in a business-related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
• Relevant professional qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Head of Credit

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of T24 Core Banking Application
• Familiarity with the Borrowers and Lenders Act, 2020 (Act 1052), Credit Reporting Act, 2007 (Act 726), and the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Objectivity and independence
• High sense of integrity
