Head of Credit at Reputable Financial Institution

About the Role

A reputable financial institution is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and results-oriented professional to join its growing team as Head of Credit. The successful candidate will contribute to the institution's mission of providing exceptional financial services and strengthening operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a proactive credit strategy that aligns with the company's commercial goals while managing risk exposure
• Oversee the assessment and mitigation of credit risk for commercial and retail portfolios, ensuring a balance between risk and return
• Oversee credit analysis, loan appraisals, and approval processes; monitor loan performance, portfolio quality, and risk exposure
• Develop, review, and implement credit policies, guidelines, and approval processes aligned with the bank's strategic goals

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree is an added advantage)
• Minimum of 10 years of working experience, with 5+ years in a Senior Management role
