Head Ethics, Compliance & Business Continuity at AirtelTigo

Job Summary

The successful candidate will join as Head of Ethics, Compliance and Business Continuity in the Ethics and Compliance Department at AirtelTigo. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the local compliance strategy with particular emphasis on third-party due diligence, sponsorships, donations, and interactions with government officials.

The role also involves establishing and maintaining a Business Continuity Management System and Crisis Management Plan in accordance with AirtelTigo policies and standards. You will ensure all business-critical services and processes are identified and recovered in the event of a declared disaster, while coordinating the crisis management process.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Chief Executive Officer and support the business in effective implementation of the Compliance and Ethics program
• Implement and execute the Compliance Due Diligence Process for screening of suppliers, M&A partners, agents, and other third-party representatives in accordance with global guidelines
• Provide advice and guidance to local management on how to avoid or manage risk situations, particularly regarding third-party interactions with suppliers, agents, and government officials
• Ensure effective monitoring of Compliance Program performance in local operations and recommend improvements to strengthen effectiveness
• Track compliance KPIs on local efficiency and effectiveness of the Corporate Compliance Program
• Perform periodic checks of high-risk compliance areas within the business, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions
• Work collaboratively across the organization to ensure compliance standards are met and maintained
