Key Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for funding proposals in collaboration with the resource mobilization team, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and identifying and assessing financial risks
• Review, understand, and monitor contractual commitments, including timely invoicing of project costs to partners and donors
• Record administrative flows to provide project management information, including cash flow forecasts
• Prepare financial progress reports and project overviews for donors, ensuring all supporting documents meet donor requirements
• Manage payroll to ensure staff salaries are processed timely with all statutory deductions affected and paid in accordance with Ghanaian law
• Facilitate statutory and donor-specific audits, ensuring corrective action plans approved by the Ghana team are implemented as planned in collaboration with project teams
• Establish banking relations and arrangements to optimize organizational liquidity while minimizing bank charges and related risks
• Prepare end-of-project financial reports, project evaluations, and coordinate project audits
• Facilitate complete and proper reporting of project finances for incorporation into IRC's general ledger, quarterly reporting, and annual accounts, including work-in-progress balances and expenditure accruals
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems (Exact ERP), general ledger management, and improvement of procedures
• Prepare statutory reports to ensure compliance of financial and operational systems with IRC policies, procedures, local laws, and IRC Ghana requirements
