The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) is a private US-based foundation providing long-term funding and organizational support to local NGO partners and community development programs in Ghana and Kenya. In Ghana, we support Agriculture, Education, WASH, and Child Protection programs in the Upper West region since 2012. We are currently seeking an experienced Field Officer to join our team.

Position Details

• Job Title: Field Officer (FO)
• Location: Fielmuo, Upper West Region, Ghana
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Duration: 2 years (renewable)
• Reports to: Program Coordinators

Overview

As Field Officer, you will coordinate all VVF activities within assigned communities, serving as the essential link between the foundation and target communities. You will manage community mobilization, facilitate training and mentorship, and oversee program implementation across our LIFE, E-CLIP, and WASH initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Community and Stakeholder Mobilization

• Participate in the identification and enrollment of communities in the program
• Observe community entry protocols when entering new communities
• Mobilize stakeholders and beneficiaries to participate in program activities (LIFE, E-CLIP, and WASH programs)
• Facilitate the establishment of program structures such as VSLAs, FBOs, and Girls Clubs
• Serve as a link between VVF and target communities
• Identify and work closely with opinion leaders, traditional leaders, and religious leaders in communities
• Sensitize communities on the foundation's various interventions and strategies
• Represent VVF at community-level meetings in consultation with coordinators or supervisors

Training, Mentorship, and Coaching

• Work with coordinators to develop training materials
• Facilitate training of beneficiaries on activities related to LIFE, WASH, and E-CLIP programs
• Support project structures in developing and implementing action plans
