External Auditor at Mepe Area Rural Limited

About the Position

Mepe Area Rural Limited, a rural bank in the Volta Region of Ghana, is seeking to engage the services of an external auditor on a full-time basis.

Key Objectives

• Audit the financial statements of the Bank and issue reports in accordance with all statutory requirements on an annual basis
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards throughout the engagement

Mandatory Requirements

The firm must meet the following criteria:

• Qualify under Section 138 of the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992)
• Be recognized as a licensed audit firm in Ghana according to the Institute of Chartered Accountants Act 2020 (Act 1058)
• Be in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana at the time of application and throughout the recruitment process
• Have been in audit practice for at least 10 years
• Have audited a similar bank for not less than 5 years
• Have sufficient qualified staff to undertake audit assignments at any given time
• Have an engagement partner with requisite professional qualifications who has handled audit assignments continuously for not less than 10 years and is a person of high integrity

Application Requirements

Firms should submit the following documentation with their proposal:

• Curriculum vitae (CVs) of key personnel involved in the engagement, with specific roles clearly defined
• Evidence of similar assignments conducted within the last 2 years, including client references
• Technical and financial proposal detailing methodology, work schedules, and verifiable means of quality assurance
• Current Tax and SSNIT clearance certificates
