Position Overview
The End-User Support Systems Analyst reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer (IT Planning, Security and Support) and provides comprehensive help desk support and IT professional services across the University of Ghana community. This role is responsible for managing IT operations at distance learning centres, ensuring Hardware and Maintenance units and Student Labs operate according to best practices in higher education institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality information communication initiatives across the University community
- Manage and supervise IT staff providing support at University of Ghana regional learning centres
- Provide operational leadership for the End-User Support, Service Desk, and Hardware and Preventative Maintenance Unit to optimize performance, quality, and efficiency
- Design, adapt, promote, and implement industry best practices in help desk, PC/Printer support, and computer management
- Design, implement, and promote industry best practices in end-user PC/Printer maintenance support
- Coordinate and manage service requests and supervise support service delivery to end-users
- Coordinate call-out services for scheduled and emergency IT support
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the University of Ghana community
