Position Overview
The End-User Support Systems Analyst provides university-wide support for Information Technology initiatives and engagement. This role includes regular updates to the user community for knowledge sharing and supports the achievement of the University's objectives.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Deputy Chief Information Technology Officer (IT Planning, Security and Support)
Unit: Information Technology Planning and Support
Location: Accra, Ghana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide help desk support and IT professional services across the University of Ghana community
- Manage and oversee IT officers at regional learning centres
- Ensure Hardware and Maintenance units and Student Labs are managed according to best practices in universities
- Lead in providing quality information and communication to the University community
- Provide leadership for the unit to optimize performance, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with other stakeholders of the University of Ghana community
- Design, adapt, promote, and implement industry best practices in help desk support, PC/Printer support, and Computer Lab management
- Design and implement industry best practices in end-user PC/Printer maintenance support
- Serve as operational supervisor for staff in the End-User Support, Service Desk, and Hardware and Preventative Maintenance Unit
- Coordinate and manage service requests and supervise support service delivery to end-users
- Coordinate call-out service for scheduled and emergency support
