Position Overview

The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Director, Sports Directorate.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: The Registrar, University of Ghana

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee sports and related activities within the University
• Organize and manage sporting events
• Liaise with external sports organizations
• Oversee the management and operations of the Sports Directorate
• Advise the Academic Board on matters relating to the award of academic credit for students' participation in sports
• Organize sports clinics for University members
• Represent the University on external sporting bodies
• Prepare University teams for sporting events
• Discharge additional assignments as deemed necessary by the Registrar

Required Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Sports Management, Sports Administration, Education, or other relevant field disciplines
• Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification work experience
