Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a transformative vision for pharmaceutical services across the organization
• Manage performance and recruitment needs of the pharmacy team, ensuring high quality and operationally efficient services
• Establish and maintain safe service systems to identify and communicate incidents
• Take accountability for achieving financial and key quality targets for pharmaceutical services
• Ensure efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of the manufacturing unit with a view to scaling up production
• Oversee the effective functioning of the medicines and therapeutic committees
• Submit timely periodic reports on pharmaceutical activities
• Provide technical advice for procurement of medicines and other pharmaceuticals
• Coordinate research and development activities in pharmaceutical services
• Prepare departmental plans and budgets

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Degree in Pharmacy and registered pharmacist status with a relevant postgraduate qualification (minimum Masters level)
• At least 5 years of working experience at senior managerial level
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in management
• Certificate or Masters in Business Administration (advantageous)
• Training in quality improvement methodologies (advantageous)
