Director Of Internal Audit at SD Dombo University

About the Position

SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies invites applications from suitably qualified professionals for the position of Director of Internal Audit.

The Director of Internal Audit serves as Head of the Internal Audit Directorate and reports to the Vice Chancellor. This role is responsible for providing effective leadership and promoting good governance in accordance with the University's Regulations.

Key Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or related discipline, AND membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), AND prior experience serving in a university or analogous institution as Deputy Internal Auditor or equivalent rank

OR

• Minimum of 12 years post-qualification professional experience as an Accountant in a reputable organization (firm, industry, commerce, or public service) with requisite experience in Auditing and Controls

• Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Competencies

• Very good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act 2003, Public Financial Administration Act 2016, Internal Audit Act, and related legal frameworks
• Proven ability to coordinate work of units, sections, or teams
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and develop policies
• Very good knowledge and understanding of university administration, governance systems, and structures
• Very good IT skills with ability to use and adapt various systems
