About the Organization
Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is recruiting a Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management.
Job Purpose
Provide direction and advice in the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of drugs, equipment, other medical consumables, civil works, and related items for the hospital.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead in the planning, procurement, and distribution of drugs, equipment, and medical supplies
- Lead in the procurement of civil works and services in accordance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended
- Ensure the procurement of items using GHANEPS
- Ensure the safe custody of drugs, equipment, and medical supplies
- Lead in the development and maintenance of effective distribution systems for the hospital
- Contribute to policy development, analysis, and review
- Lead in the development of systems for monitoring and evaluation of supply chain management practices across the hospital
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of a central database on all supplies and distributions
- Promote the sustenance, timely, and effective application of GIFMIS and GhiLMIS in the supply chain operations of the hospital
- Contribute to the implementation and evaluation of national health policies
- Contribute to the development of medium and long-term plans
- Prepare annual reports and other reports on procurement and stores required by management
- Provide direction and guidelines in the disposal of obsolete and expired equipment and other commodities
Qualifications and Experience Required
- At least postgraduate qualification in procurement and supply chain management or related field (Master's degree or equivalent)
- Member of a relevant and recognized professional body in good standing
