Deputy Director, Licensing and Registration (Head of Region – Western and Northern) at Reputable Institution

Job Purpose

To provide technical and operational support in licensing and registration for the achievement of the organization's mandate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide input for the formulation of organizational policies
• Supervise the vetting of relevant reports and documentation for licensing of teachers and service providers
• Oversee the issuance and renewal of licenses to teachers and service providers
• Ensure registration and re-registration of licensed teachers and service providers
• Supervise the development of guidelines, procedures, and processes for departmental programs and activities
• Ensure close collaboration with officers, departments, and stakeholders in implementing departmental programs and activities
• Supervise the development of annual work plans for the department
• Supervise the preparation of departmental budgets
• Oversee the preparation of annual and periodic reports
• Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education or related field from an accredited tertiary institution
• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification relevant work experience
• Minimum 4 years in a Senior management position in a reputable institution
• Successful completion of competitive selection interview
