Deputy Director, Licensing and Registration (Head of Region – Western and Northern) at Reputable Institution

Job Purpose

To provide technical and operational support in licensing and registration for the achievement of the organization's mandate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide input for the formulation of organizational policies
• Supervise the vetting of relevant reports and documentation for licensing of teachers and service providers
• Supervise the issuance and renewal of licenses to teachers and service providers
• Ensure registration and re-registration of licensed teachers and service providers
• Supervise development of guidelines, procedures, and processes for departmental programme and activity implementation
• Ensure close collaboration with officers, departments, and stakeholders in implementing departmental programmes and activities
• Supervise development of annual work plans for the department
• Supervise preparation of departmental budgets
• Supervise preparation of annual and periodic departmental reports
• Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Master's Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited tertiary institution
• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification relevant work experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management position in a reputable institution
• Must pass a competitive selection interview
