Position Overview

The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Dean, School of Graduate Studies, effective from January 1, 2026.

Position Details

  • Title: Dean, School of Graduate Studies
  • Reports to: Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs
  • Location: Accra, Ghana
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall coordination and development of the University of Ghana's School of Graduate Studies (SGS)
  • Ensure delivery of graduate programmes with excellence across all aspects of graduate training
  • Provide oversight, supervision, and coordination of SGS administration and operations
  • Supervise employees working at the School of Graduate Studies
  • Contribute to the development of University policy affecting postgraduate students
  • Liaise with departments to ensure consistency in arrangements supporting postgraduate education throughout the University
