Overview

The Communication Specialist is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and carrying out communication activities under the project. This role ensures that all communications are effective, consistent, and aligned with project development objectives across multiple channels and target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy and plan for all project components
• Ensure message content is effective, consistent, and aligned with project development objectives for different target audiences
• Develop and manage the project's online communication plan, including social media strategies (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and public website content
• Coordinate the design, printing, and publication of project communication materials and reports
• Develop and manage internal communication networks to ensure relevant and consistent exchanges between project team members
• Draft information, content, and products for public access and respond to media and public information requests
• Develop project briefs, fact sheets, and success stories for publicity purposes
• Develop cutting-edge media materials, including videos, social media products, and documentaries of project activities
• Design communication campaigns for implementation in partnership with local radio stations in target areas, following the Community-Driven Development (CDD) approach
• Collaborate with the social safeguard specialist and CDD/Capacity Building Specialist to operationalize the stakeholder engagement plan
• Ensure multi-channel communication from the national Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to all institutional stakeholders
