Commercial Accounting Manager at AT Ghana

Job Overview

The Commercial Accounting Manager will serve in the Finance Department, reporting to the Financial Controller. This role is responsible for managing financial accounting related to all sales and distribution activities, while collaborating closely with non-financial colleagues, particularly the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the finance business partner for the go-to-market department, ensuring finance dependencies are actioned on time
• Ensure all business controls around sales to cash accounting operate effectively year-round
• Establish and monitor adequate processes to account for all sales activities across CSCs nationwide on a timely and accurate basis
• Implement sound inventory practices to mitigate exposure while ensuring commercial activities are not compromised
• Define and develop metrics and tracking systems for sales activities
• Conduct constant review of credit limits and payment terms for major distributors with sales managers
• Closely monitor all consignment sales to ensure terms of arrangements are being respected
• Review all sales commissions before finance approval
• Contribute to the production of annual plans and quarterly cash forecasts
• Ensure accurate set-up of accounting rules for all inventory items in Point of Sale systems
• Deliver accurate, timely, business-focused management reports focusing on sales by products, distributors, payment media, and geographical areas

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business-related field
• ACCA, CIMA, or ICAG (Final Level) qualification
• 3-4 years of relevant work experience
