College Finance Officer at SDA College of Education

Position Overview

The College Governing Council, in consultation with Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and the College's affiliate University, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), invites applications from interested and qualified persons for the position of College Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Chief Accounting Officer of the College and Chief Financial Advisor to the Principal
• Exercise general responsibility for the administration of the college's financial affairs to ensure its financial health
• Exercise direct superintendence over all legitimate revenue due to the college
• Exercise control over expenditure in line with the college's objectives and budgets
• Prepare the annual budget of the college for presentation to the appropriate governing body for approval and implementation
• Ensure that financial statements are drawn up in accordance with the law establishing the colleges, the statutes, applicable accounting standards, college-approved regulations, and all relevant national laws
• Liaise with appointed external auditors to ensure the college's financial statements are audited

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree minimum in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Deputy Finance Officer in a College of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution or organization
