Position Overview

The Vice President serves as the Academic and Administrative head of the University College, as well as the Chief Disciplinary Officer. Reporting to the University Council, the Vice President is responsible for maintaining and promoting the good order and efficiency of the institution. Additional functions are prescribed by the University College Statutes and directed by the President.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Academic and Administrative head of the University College
• Act as Chief Disciplinary Officer
• Maintain and promote good order and operational efficiency
• Provide strong, visionary leadership and drive innovation
• Foster and promote positive internal and external relations
• Project the image of the University College nationally and internationally
• Lead fundraising initiatives
• Initiate, lead, and manage institutional change

Required Qualifications

• Professorial rank or Senior Lecturer with PhD
• Extensive research and administrative leadership experience
• Individual of stature and integrity with exemplary leadership qualities
• Demonstrated experience in university governance
• Clear understanding of challenges facing private tertiary education in Ghana
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player mentality with collaborative approach
• Zeal and energy to advance the University College's mission and vision

• Capacity to project the institution's image effectively at national and international levels
• Proven fundraising capabilities
• Track record of successfully initiating, leading, and managing organizational change

Terms of Appointment

This is a contract appointment for a three-year term.
