Job Summary

The Chinese Translator will be responsible for providing accurate written and verbal translation between Chinese and English. The role involves facilitating communication, ensuring cultural nuances are understood, and supporting business operations, meetings, and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely translation of written documents, including business reports, emails, contracts, and other materials
• Facilitate verbal communication during meetings, conferences, and on-site discussions
• Ensure cultural nuances are considered to avoid miscommunication or misunderstandings
• Act as a communication bridge between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and local team members
• Maintain records of translated documents and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Assist in coordinating with external Chinese-speaking partners, clients, or suppliers

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chinese Language, Linguistics, International Relations, or related fields
• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent speaking, writing, and comprehension skills
• At least 2 years of experience in translation or interpretation roles, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of Chinese and Ghanaian cultural contexts to ensure effective communication

Required Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of translation software (a plus)
