Chief Research Officer at National African Peer Review Mechanism (NAPRM-GC)

Job Purpose

Provide technical and operational leadership for the efficient and effective performance of the Agency's Research, Monitoring and Evaluation functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide inputs for the formulation of policies
• Oversee the efficient and effective management of human, material and financial resources of the Unit
• Oversee the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and activities of the Unit
• Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of programmes and activities of the Agency
• Oversee the preparation of the Agency's strategic plan
• Ensure compliance with international protocols and treaties
• Oversee the development and implementation of guidelines, strategies and performance indicators for research, monitoring and evaluation activities
• Oversee the timely preparation, production and dissemination of fact sheets, policy briefs, research findings, reports and peer-reviewed articles
• Oversee the development of the research agenda, research proposals and resource mobilization plan
• Oversee the conduct of research for the Agency
• Coordinate the preparation of the Agency's annual report
• Coordinate the preparation of the Agency's annual work plan and budget
• Collaborate with other stakeholders in identifying areas for research
• Oversee the implementation of the performance management system within the Unit
• Oversee the preparation of the Unit's annual and periodic reports
• Oversee the preparation of the Unit's annual work plan and budget
• Supervise and appraise the performance of Unit staff
