Chief Operating Officer at Ghana Baptist University College

About the Role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Ghana Baptist University College and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the institution in accordance with policy directives of the Council. The Registrar also serves as Secretary to the Office of the Chancellor, the University Council, and the Academic Board.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice and briefings to the President and deliver leadership across a wide range of institutional activities
• Guide the framework within which policies are developed and implemented
• Maintain custody of the University seal and affix it to documents in accordance with Council and Academic Board directives
• Compile lists of graduating students and oversee the production and assurance of certificates, transcripts, and all academic records and documents
• Maintain custody of all legal documents and records of the University
• Publish all policy decisions of the Council and Academic Board in the University Bulletin at the end of each semester
• Lead marketing initiatives to attract quality students and increase enrollment
• Develop human resources and equip staff with the requisite skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform effectively
