Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst at University of Ghana

Position Overview

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will join the Institutional Business Intelligence Unit and report to the Director of Institutional Research & Planning Office. This role leads efforts to identify reporting and analytic requirements across the University and develops business intelligence solutions that enable University units to make data-driven operational, tactical, and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Institutional Data Engineer to plan data pipelines, dimensional modeling, and determine required data specifications that meet business intelligence and analytics requirements
• Transform data into actionable insights that assist University managers and executives in making data-driven operational, tactical, and strategic decisions to modernize operations, drive business value, identify revenue opportunities, and improve organizational processes
• Conduct requirements gathering from across the University using data collection methods including interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, and scenario planning
• Develop and conduct reviews of business intelligence and analytics requirements to ensure requirements specifications are correctly interpreted
• Analyze and verify business intelligence requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to organizational standards
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine objectives and priorities for business intelligence initiatives
