About the Role

The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Biomedical Engineer. This is a full-time position based in Accra, Ghana, where you will provide operational support to achieve the Institute's objectives through innovative biomedical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and calibrate biomedical machines, equipment, and related software
• Design and create biomedical technology such as artificial internal organs and body parts, diagnostic and treatment machines, equipment, and software
• Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical machines, equipment, and software
• Develop technological solutions to complex medical problems
• Advise professionals on the effective use of advanced healthcare technology
• Support mechanical and electrical engineers in servicing and maintaining essential equipment used at the Institute
• Work collaboratively with life scientists, chemists, and medical scientists on research involving the engineering aspects of biological systems
