Aves International Academy is seeking experienced Language Teachers/Coordinators to join our educational institution in Tema. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators with proven expertise in teaching modern languages within international curricula.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years' progressive teaching experience with language instruction
• Proven expertise teaching Cambridge/IGCSE Program
• Minimum 3 years' specific experience teaching the target language
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, relevant subject, or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of IB and/or Cambridge curriculum (highly valued)
• Evidence of appropriate in-service training

Main Responsibilities

Planning

• Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and specify delivery and assessment methods
• Enable learners to effectively assimilate language skills
• Set appropriate and demanding expectations for teaching, learning, motivation, and presentation of work

Teaching & Class Management

• Plan work in accordance with unit planners, Cambridge Curriculum, and/or International Baccalaureate programs of study
• Ensure alignment with external examination requirements
• Consider learners' prior attainment levels and use them to set improvement targets

Monitoring, Assessment, Recording & Reporting

• Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved
• Use assessment data to improve specific aspects of teaching
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents

Required Skills & Abilities

• Sound understanding of student learning and effective teaching methodologies
• Ability to achieve and maintain high educational standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong ICT competency
• Willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned by line management

Desirable Qualifications

• Further education and/or additional qualifications in education or languages
